La edición de este año de los MTV Video Music Awards, presenta una intensa competencia entre las superestrellas musicales. Taylor Swift lidera con ocho nominaciones en los prestigiosos premios. El fenómeno SZA sigue de cerca con seis nominaciones, mientras que Doja Cat, Kim Petras, Miley Cyrus, Nicki Minaj, Olivia Rodrigo y Sam Smith comparten cinco menciones cada uno.
La ceremonia se llevará a cabo el 12 de septiembre en el Prudential Center de Nueva Jersey y será transmitida en vivo a las 8:00 p. m.

Por primera vez en la historia, la categoría de Artista del Año cuenta con la presencia exclusiva de mujeres nominadas. Entre ellas se encuentran las talentosas artistas latinas Karol G y Shakira, junto a Beyoncé, Doja Cat, Nicki Minaj y Taylor Swift. Esta edición promete ser una noche memorable, reconociendo los logros musicales más destacados del año.
